Tell Us What You Think! Public participation is a key element in making sure that Envision Soldotna 2030 reflects the community’s vision and has broad public support for implementation. The project team members are committed to keeping the public informed, maintaining coordination and brisk project pace, being ready to respond to comments and questions in a timely manner, and using state-of-the-art tools and approaches for public involvement. The project team has worked with City Staff to develop this Public Participation Plan which will act as our guide to public involvement throughout the process. The PPP elaborates on the various methods we will use to gain public input and how that will be incorporated into the final documents. Please read through the document, which outlines opportunities you will have to become involved! To date, the project team has conducted interviews with several community stakeholders including civic leaders, developers, business owners, conservation activists, etc. These stakeholders were asked to provide input on public participation measures, key planning issues, goals and objectives, visioning and plan implementation. Throughout the project, you can submit thoughts and ideas about the project online by clicking here and filling out our comment sheet. Please select ‘Envision Soldotna 2030’ from the drop-down menu and your thoughts will be automatically sent to our Public Involvement Planner. We will periodically collect and post comments we have received, so they can be seen by all.
